Ran clean all day except for the last run of the morning. Normally, I wouldn’t think too much of it, but that 2.00 second penalty put me behind the leading stock FWD time by 1.6 seconds. The van reacts to lift oversteer so well, and I am getting decent at tapping the brake to get it to rotate. I still can’t get used to driving with two feet. I know that would help significantly.
I also need to invest in a better quality camera. Bought a cheap $50 GoPro knock off off Amazon, and the quality shows. Any advice for cost-friendly cameras?

You can hear me swear at the cone in Morning Run 5b. Best time was Afternoon Run 5. Improvement of 11 seconds from the day. I had to rerun the 5th run of the morning due to dogs getting out on the field. That was exciting.

So B litzer is doing it in the front yard again? Any smoother than the back? T he back just about trashed my car and why I stopped going. (Pic is of the front yard)
The van looks good out there though. Just tapping on the brakes I bet gets it to rotate with no weight back there. Any consideration of running snow tires?
And I have heard nothing but good reviews from the Apeman.

Never raced in the back. But he’s hosting another event or two in October I believe. I run Sumitomo I ce Edge tires now. 60r compared to a stock 55r ratio.
And that Apeman looks like it’s practically the same as my Dragon Touch

And that was the quality of video? No offense but that looked worse than my H ero (there was a cheap version that was just called H ero).
I bought a used hero 4 awhile ago and still looks good. Not 4k but still.
I can try to find a video to show you just the Hero.
Edit: found it

Yes, don’t worry none taken . The video quality is honestly not awful, but the rattling noise from the case and mount are annoying. I guess I can try different mounting options and see what changes.
BTW that entire back yard is grown out now. We parked right where you crossed the finish line in your video

Wanted to reach out and say we ran his backyard this weekend. It was rough. Had to reroute the course twice.

Ah ok and yep unfortunately why I stopped , it was constantly being rerouted and digging up rocks. Any debeaded tires?
I was actually going to try and make it down there this weekend just to watch as OSU has a bye week but my furnace had other plans...
I know some of the Detroit group came down, get any of their thoughts?

It was more uneven ground than rocks. No debeaded tires. Saw a BMW lose a bumper from hitting what formed into a rhythm section of bumps. Detroiters came and had fun. The drive was the worst part for them, and I thought I had it rough commuting three hours! Few of us camped the night before. I’m on the fence about their two day event in a few weeks. Not sure whether I’m gonna go or not.

Oh there is another event? I thought they were done for the year. Is it Detroit’s or OVR’s?
Might do the rental car option and see what happens.
And yeah its 3 hours just to Columbus from Detroit and it’s another 1.5h to get to Bitzer’s from there for me.
I know the NE ohio SCCA is trying or already did put a rally cross schedule together. That sounds like it might be a bit closer

I believe WOR and OVR are done for the season. The two night event is at Oakshade raceway just outside Toledo. Detroit is hosting it. NEOhio did an event in October at Geauga Co. fairgrounds. About 50 cars showed up. Went really well. They definitely will do more dates next season. That’s a lot closer for myself as well.

Ah ok nice that will be cool to see a series up there. Actually could be closer for me as I’m north of Cbus. Hopefully smoother.
And ah ok might have to look it up. Toledo isnt too far

Geauga was pretty good to us, we picked out a few prairie holes early in the day and worked around them. Fairgrounds typically have some better acreage than someone’s backyard. At least in my experience between the two.
